Daryl Poutre, the son of Fred and Marjorie (Heden) Poutre, was born on the Fourth of July in 1958.  His parents brought him home to Thor where he started school.  They then moved to Hardy and Daryl attended Renwick school before moving to Humboldt where he graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1976.  Daryl was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Kristi Schuster and the couple made their home in Humboldt all of their married lives.  When Daryl was 16 years old, he went to work for Gib Sandven where he remained for 18 years.  For the last 21 years, Daryl has served as the Retail Sales Manager for Hog Slats in Humboldt.
Daryl enjoyed card playing, especially pepper, with his “brothers” Bret and Kent, golfing, camping, and fishing trips with his friends and family to Canada, Minnesota, and Florida.  Daryl loved spending time with his two grandsons and attending their activities.  He enjoyed the time he spent with his extended family, especially their get together's at Leech Lake and was special to his nieces and nephews.  He was an avid and loyal Minnesota Vikings fan and an Iowa State fan.
Daryl’s family would like memorials to be made to the Rabiner Treatment Center for at-risk adolescent boys aged 10-18.
