Ernest O. In 1972, the couple moved to Denver, Colorado.  He was employed by Boise Cascade/Richardson Lumber where he fabricated Anderson Windows.  Following a decline in his health, he and Marge returned to Bode.

Ernest was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode and a past member of the American Lutheran Church in Denver and St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge where he served as usher, deacon, and where ever he was needed.  He enjoyed the time he spent in the Rocky Mountains and often referred to them as some of the best times of his life especially those spent with his grandchildren.
