Gail M. Broich, the daughter of Virgil and Ida (Hoffman) Broich, was born June 4, 1955 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll, Iowa. As a child, she made her home with her family on a farm near Litterdale and attended school at Lake City. The family then moved to Carroll where Gail graduated from Carroll High School in 1973. She was united in marriage to Steven Prenger in September of 1974. The couple had four children and made their home in Humboldt and Dakota City. The marriage was later dissolved and Gail continued to maintain her home at Dakota City and was employed by Hadar Manufacturing before going to work for Humboldt Sausage for several years. In 2000, Gail moved to West Des Moines where she was employed by Hy-Vee Manufacturing in the baked goods division.
Gail was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed Harley rides with Ted Beebe and their many friends, shopping with her friend, Rhanda, and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, brother and sisters.
