Marjorie M. Lee, 93, of Humboldt, passed away December 16, 2012 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Humboldt with Romaine Lee Officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Marjorie Mae Mickelson, the daughter of Tom and Catherine (Olesen) Mickelson, was born January 2, 1919 in Rutland Township, Humboldt County. She attended school at Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Stanley Lee on March 2, 19940 at her parent's home at Humboldt.

After farming in Rutland Township for many years, the couple retired and moved to the home where she was raised. For thirteen years, Marjorie was employed by the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Following Mr. Lee's Death in 1977, Marjorie continued to maintain her home in Humboldt, which she took great pride in caring for.

Marjorie was a life long member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Humboldt where she was active in Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Humboldt County Republican Women.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Margaret McKenney of Humboldt; her grandchildren, Nathan Pencook of Albert City, Heather McKenney of Humboldt, and Laura McKenney of Cedar Falls; great grandchild, Landon McKenney of Humboldt; her sister, Madelyn Swearingen of Humboldt; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Romaine and Barbara Lee of Humboldt; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; her daughter, Barb Pencook; her granddaughter, Maria Pencook; and her brother, Roger Mickelson.
