Pat was born in Humboldt, Iowa June 10th, 1937; To parents Asoph and Bernice Beebe, who is survived by her sister, Darlene Hellickson, and brother, Richard Beebe, of Humboldt Iowa. On June 1st, 1956 Pat married and is survived by Jens J. Andersen, and had two Children, the late Kirk (52), and Kelli, as well as her cherished grandchildren Tyler (Megan), and Nate, all of Kansas City Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kirk Andersen; and brothers, Merlin Beebe and Gary Beebe.
Upon graduating high school in 1956, Pat began operating switchboards in telecommunication centers for AT&T. When her husband was stationed in Washington D.C. during the Korean War, she worked as a strategic communications operator. After the war was over, and wanting to start a family, Pat and her husband made their home at Humboldt before moving to Atlantic Iowa. She stayed at home to raise her two children until they moved to Sedalia Missouri. Having a knack for entrepreneurship and an eye for design, she opened a high-end children’s clothing store that soon became a fun and trend-setting venture. She loved going to fashion shows, and putting on her own, which always included her grandson Tyler. Wanting to be closer to the grandchildren, her and her husband made her final move to the suburbs of Kansas City. She got to be there for every game, concert, or the occasional sick day, and always expressed how grateful she was to be a part of their childhood, to see them grow into adults.
Pat expressed how blessed she was for her husband of 62 years, wonderful family, and life-long friends, and to say thank you for all the moments of joy and strength. She was able to have closure, and to pass on her terms, and we the family are thankful for that.
