Patrick Tibke, 65, of Beaver, formerly of Humboldt, passed away September 9, 2012 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt with the Rev. Marge Smiley officiating.  Interment will be in St. Patrick on the Lizard Cemetery.  Visitation is from 12-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Patrick Tibke, the son of Jim and Loretta (Cunningham) Tibke, was born November 6, 1946 at Fort Dodge, Iowa.  He was raised on a farm near Clare, Iowa and attended St. Matthew’s School.  He graduated from Northwest Webster High School at Barnum in 1965.  That same year, he married Norva McMahon and to this union, three children were born, Maria, Mike, and Eileen.  The marriage was dissolved in 1980.  Following his education, Pat went to work for DeKalb where he remained for 45 years.  In the early 1980’s, Pat owned and operated PT’s Bar in Humboldt.  After the DeKalb Plant in Humboldt closed, Pat transferred with the company to Boone. On August 19, 1987, he married Audrey Newell and the couple made their home at Beaver, Iowa.

Pat enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the Green Bay Packers.  He loved animals, including his cats and especially his dogs, Worthless and Fred, and he raised horses growing up on the farm.  He was also a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and painting.

Pat is survived by his wife, Audrey Tibke of Beaver, IA; his children, Maria Tibke of Lester Prairie, MN, Mike (Carri Anne) Tibke of NC, and Eileen (Jeff) Schneider of Gilmore City, IA; grandchildren, Samantha Tibke, stationed with the US Army in Hawaii, Mallory Tibke of El Paso, TX, Joshua Tibke of El Paso, TX, Tyler Nordby of MN, Felicia Nordby of MN, Sean Schneider of Fort Dodge, IA, and Cassie Jo Schneider of Gilmore City, IA.  His parents preceded him in death.
