Robert Harold Rasmussen, the son of Alan Devere and Inez Hazel (Daggy) Rasmussen, was born February 11, 1930 on the family farm near Goldfield, Iowa.  He attended grammar school in Goldfield and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1948.  On March 5, 1949, Bob was united in marriage to Beverly Simpson and the couple made their home in Humboldt where Bob was employed by Corn Belt Power COOP.  For a brief time, Bob served as an Electric Company Supervisor in Maliki, Hawaii before moving the family to North Platte, Nebraska where he was employed by Crawford Electric.  In 1972, Bob purchased what became Rasmussen Electric and he and Bev owned and operated the business for many years.  Following his semi-retirement, Bob remained busy as an independent electrician and in recent years had an agriculture route, which he ran until two weeks ago.   Beverly passed away in November of  2010 and Bob continued to maintain his home until moving to Springvale Senior Living.

Bob’s family remembers his whole life was his wife, his family, and his work.  He loved watching football and enjoyed fishing and reading and never stopped learning.
