Alberto A. Alvarez, 75, of Humboldt, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
He was born June 23, 1947 in Jalisco, Mexico, the son of Ruben Alvarez and Adelina Alvarez. He moved to Zamora and met Maria Guadalupe Dominguez Villanueva. The couple later married and raised their children in Zamora. Alberto worked growing and selling potatoes as a street vendor in Mexico. In the early 1990’s they moved to the United States and settled in California where he worked in agriculture, harvesting fruits and vegetables. In 2012 they moved to Humboldt.
He is survived by his wife Maria of Humboldt, his son Ruben (Maria) Alvarez of Storm Lake, his daughter Ofelia Alvarez of Santa Paula, California, his grandchildren Ruben (Maria) Alvarez, Cynthia (Steve) Uribe, Noemi (Arturo) Marquez, Josue Ramirez, Leslie Ramirez and Sesar Ramirez, his great-grandchildren, Caleb, Sophia, Elijah and Allyson.
Private family services were held on Sunday afternoon, July 25, 2021 at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. www.masonlindhart.com
