Beverly J. Hewitt, 91 formerly of Lu Verne, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Humboldt Care Center South.
She was born October 16, 1929 in Dayton, Iowa, the daughter of Bertram and Daisy (Long) Thomas. She grew up in the central Iowa area, near Dayton and later moved to Lu Verne where she graduated high school. She was united in marriage to Richard Hewitt on June 12, 1950. The couple made their home in Algona for a time and then returned to Lu Verne. Beverly was employed at Universal Manufacturing in Algona for many years. She enjoyed gardening, canning and tending her flower beds.
She is survived by her daughter Raejean (David) Thilges of Clear Lake, her grandchildren Brian, Jennifer, Matthew & Adam, also eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, son Michael, four brothers and four sisters.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 31st at the Lu Verne Cemetery in Lu Verne. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements. www.masonlindhart.com
