Christopher Wayne Mckenna

March 22, 1985 — May 6, 2018

Christopher Wayne McKenna, 33, of Algona, formerly of Humboldt, died May 6, 2018 as the result of a car accident. Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. A celebration of Christopher’s life will be held at lower Sheldon Park on Saturday after 3 p.m.
Christopher was born March 22, 1985 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital to Robert and Beth (Lang) McKenna. After spending the first year of his life in Colorado, he lived in and around Humboldt.
Chris attended School at Humboldt through the 11th grade, later obtaining his GED. Chris was currently taking courses to work towards a psychology and business degree. Chris dedicated his life to his kids, Dakota and Miley. He worked at Swea City, Bancroft, and Algona. For the last four and a half years, Chris enjoyed his work with the different people and responsibilities at the AmericInn in Algona.
Chris spent his leisure time playing video games with his children and they loved attending Impact Wrestling in Algona and cheering fro their favorite wrestler, Aaron. Chris’ latest hobby was golfing at area golf courses with friends.
Chris is survived by his children, Dakota Joseph and Miley Paige; his mother, Beth (Lang) Nielsen and step dad, Curt Nielsen; brothers, Tony (Kassie) Wyatt and their children, Piper and Otto; brother, Garth Wyatt; sister, Tammy King; grandparents, Jerry and Willa Dean Lang; and several other step siblings. He was preceded in death by his dad, Wayne King and infant son, Greyson Finn.
