Cynthia E. Spellmeyer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Cynthia E. Spellmeyer, 71, of Clear Lake, formerly of Humboldt, passed away on Saturday, May 21st, 2022, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. She was born October 7th,1950 in Des Moines. The daughter of Carl and Clara May (Witzel) Spellmeyer, Cindy grew up on the family farm and attended Humboldt Schools. At the age of 21, she moved to Clear Lake where she lived and worked at Opportunity Village. Cindy loved her family, especially the time she spent with her nieces and nephews. She loved dressing up and attending church where she learned to love Jesus and joyfully sing hymns. She also enjoyed shopping, cats, spice drops and Diet Pepsi. Cynthia is survived by her brother, Brian (Lisa) Spellmeyer of Dakota City, her nephew, Will (Carrie) Spellmeyer of Humboldt, her niece, Abbey (Adam) Shell of Ankeny, her great-niece, Hattie, great-nephews; Drew, Eli, Isaiah and Gabriel, her friends and family at One Vision and her beloved cat, Rita. She was preceded in death by her parents. Private graveside services will be held on Monday, May 23rd at Indian Mound Cemetery in Humboldt with the Reverend Jerry Raether, officiating.
