Funeral services for David L. Boughey, 67, of Humboldt will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday February 28 at the Faith United Methodist Church, Humboldt. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday evening at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home, Humboldt.
Mr. Boughey is survived by his wife Lois of Humboldt; sons, Bruce Boughey of Gilmore City and Brian (Stacy) Boughey of Humboldt; daughter, Robin (Barry) Ramaeker of Humboldt; grandchildren Devon, Scott, Brad, Ashley, and Brandon Boughey; brothers, Don (Florence) of Pocahontas, Wayne of Fort Dodge, Norman of Rembrandt, and Alan (Margene) of Sioux Center; and sister, Betty (Leo) Henderson of Storm Lake.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law, Yvonne Boughey.
David LeRoy Boughey, the son of Glen and Nylene (Richardson) Boughey, was born February 16, 1942 at Milford, Iowa.  As a child, he made his home with his family in the communities of Bellingham, MN, Fonda, and Pocahontas.  On September 26, 1960, he was united in marriage to Lois Sroufe at Vermillion, SD. The couple made their home at Pocahontas where David worked in the Texaco Station.  The family then made their home at Webb and Laurens where Mefford Industries employed him.  In 1963, they moved to Humboldt where David was employed by Agrico, Chantlands, Farmegg for 17 years, Harklau Industries, Van Deist, and Hog Slats until his retirement.  In his retirement, David continued to drive part-time for Hawkeye Leisure Trailers.  He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church and enjoyed collecting miniature tractors and attending dances with Lois.
