Delbert G. Abbas, 77, of Humboldt, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
He was born August 25, 1941 in Buffalo Center, Iowa, the son of Thues and Lena (Hundt) Abbas. He grew up in Bancroft and graduated from Swea City High School in 1961. He was united in marriage to Janice E. Gord on September 29, 1962. The couple made their home in Humboldt and Delbert worked for Abbas Trucking then later P & M Stone and Concrete Products, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed western movies, fishing, camping with his grandchildren and grilling.
He is survived by his wife, Janice of Humboldt, his children, Keven Abbas of Eagle Grove, Alan (Angela) Abbas of Dobson, NC, Dawn (George) Feltner of Eustis, FL and Lori Carlson (Keith Lathrop) of Humboldt, his grandchildren, Joshua, Krystalle, Nicqui, Samantha, Delbert, Shawn, Justin, Alyssa, Jadyn, Luke and Alexis, eleven great-grandchildren and his brothers and sisters, Ted (Sandy) Abbas of Bancroft, Derold (Ruby) Abbas of Lake, MI, Elmer (Carol) Abbas of Buffalo, MN, Margery Asche of Swea City and Chris Christian of Cambridge, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harold and John and his sisters, Arlene and Judy.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 30th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1st at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt www.masonlindhart.com
