Donald Maasdam

Donald Maasdam, 88, of
Humboldt, passed away
Thursday at the Humboldt
Care Center North. Graveside
services will be 11
a.m. Saturday at Union
Cemetery in Humboldt.

Donald is survived by
his daughter, Carol
(Robert) Anderson of Fort
Worth, TX; granddaughter
Melissa (Douglas) Baker; 2
great-grandchildren; as
well as many members of
his extended family. Mr.
Maasdam is preceded in
death by his parents; sisters,
Pauline Maasdam and
Janet Weaver;
brother-in-law, Donald
Weaver.


Donald Maasdam, the
son of Leonard and Nelly
(Larson) Maasdam was
born April 10, 1922 at Rutland.
He was raised and
educated in the Rutland
area. Upon completion of
his education Donald
served in the U.S. Navy
during WWII. Donald
owned an operated many
businesses in the Algona,
Rolfe, and Humboldt areas.
