Esther Christensen Hall, 95, of Humboldt, passed away August 14, 2010 at the Humboldt Care Center South.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt with the Rev. Matthew Manz officiating.  Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt.  Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her son, Dale Christensen of Callender; daughter, Wanda (Steven) Dorsey of Callender; four grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; step-daughter, Betty Tinken of Gilmore City and family; and the family of her late step-daughter, Tessa Strahorn.  She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Richard Christensen; second husband, Fred Hall; step daughter Tressa Strahorn; sisters, Christina Andrews and Helen Larsen; brothers, Andrew, Mike, and Harry Pedersen; and infant brother, Peter Pedersen.
Esther Pedersen, the daughter of Willis and Laura (Larsen) Pedersen, was born May 2, 1915 on a farm near Ottosen.  She was raised and educated there and attended country schools.  Following her education, Esther helped with the family farming operations.  She was united in marriage to Richard Christensen in 1936 and to this union two children were born.  The family made their home on a farm near Bradgate until moving to Humboldt.  Mr. Christensen passed away in June of 1949 and the family moved to Rolfe where Esther was employed domestically.  In 1951, they returned to the home farm and in 1959 she moved to Humboldt where she was employed in Clemonsen's Drug Store.  In 1968 she was united in marriage to Fred Hall and the couple made their home in Humboldt.  Mr. Hall passed away in January of 1994.  Esther made her home for a time in a retirement community in Callender until becoming a resident of the South Care Center in April of 2007.

Mrs. Hall was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and especially loved her family.
