Gordon D. Jacobson, 57, of Dakota City passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt.
Gordon was born on March 28, 1963 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of James and Bertha (Ekanger) Jacobson. He grew up in Hardy and graduated from Humboldt High School. After graduating, Gordon briefly lived in Fort Dodge before moving to Humboldt, working for Hawkeye Leisure Trailers and later at Chantlands in Humboldt. He was united in marriage to Amanda Myers on June 30, 2018.
He is survived by his wife Amanda, children Abby Kirk of Dakota City, Hunter Kirk of Dakota City and Jaycie Jacobson of Fort Dodge, step-daughter Jaymie (Merle) Porter of Fort Dodge, brother Darrell Jacobson, and grandchildren Jayden, Jaelynn, Kailyn, Caliber and Raelynn.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 9:00 until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Community Church in Palmer. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hardy, Iowa.
