Gordon Page

August 1, 1941 — November 23, 2015

Gordon Page was born August 1, 1941 in Humboldt to Clifford and Daisy Williams Page. Gordon grew up in Humboldt and attended country schools. He later attended truck driving school in Kansas City. He was united in marriage to Fleeta Johnson on October 1, 1960 at Lineville, Iowa. The couple lived in Humboldt, Rutland, and rural Webster City before moving to Dakota City. Fleeta passed away November 28, 1985. Gordon married Nadine Petersen March 10, 1993. They eventually moved to Humboldt and then to Pocahontas after Gordon retired. Gordon became a resident of Pomeroy Care Center in 2012.
Gordon worked for Edge Brothers, Marso Excavation, and Blacktop Service Company. He retired from that company in 2002. He also worked for the Humboldt School District as a bus driver. Gordon drove trucks, mowed lawns, cleaned floors at churches and railroad stations, and delivered bundles of newspapers for the Des Moines Register. He did anything he could to support his family.
Gordon attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Humboldt, but was a member of Faith Community Church of Pomeroy at the time of his death. He was a fanatical follower of professional wrestling. He favored the “old school” wrestlers like Ric Flair and Bulldog Bob Brown. He enjoyed country music particularly classic country like Hank Williams, Kenny Rogers, Conway Twitty, and Dolly Parton. He also like Nat King Cole and Elvis. Gordon liked Jon Wayne and Chuck Norris. He was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and he enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs. Gordon loved animals, food, and his family.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Nadine of Pocahontas; daughters Brenda (Gary) Rosendahl of Osawatomie, KS; and Mary (Russell) Tilley of Eagle Grove; sons Doug (Lee) Page of Des Moines and Kevin Page of Eagle Grove; step children Sheryl Trenary of Vinton and Brian (Christina) Petersen of Pocahontas. Grandchildren surviving include Shuri Chitty, Nash Rosendahl, Yates Rosendahl, William Page, Gabriel Page, and Sara Moore. Great Grandchildren surviving are Elizabeth, Jilly, Nevaeh, Kyle, Samantha, Jace, Braden, Dylyn, and Dominic. Step grandchildren Thomas, Timothy, Michael, Fancy, Alexis, Cheyenne, Heather, Les, and Amber also survive. Step great-grandchildren Jace, Logan, and David round out Gordon’s descendants.
