Jeanette M. Christianson

Jeanette M. Christianson, 89, of Humboldt, passed away on Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge.

She was born July 22, 1929 in Ottosen, Iowa, the daughter of Ole Magnus and Jennie Helena (Olson) Bratland. She grew up and attended school in Otttosen and at an early aged worked for the locker in town. On December 4, 1949 she was united in marriage to Arthur Richard Christianson. The couple made their home in Bode and she worked for the Eastman Photo Studio. In 1955, they moved to Humboldt and Jeanette worked for the Hotel in downtown Humboldt until taking a position of cook in 1967n for Head Start. She retired in 1994. She particularly liked to cook and bake and spend time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, her daughter, Jana (Tim) Terwilliger all of Humboldt, her granddaughters, Michelle (Andy) Kluss and Molly (A.J.) Dickinson, her great-granddaughter, Darbie and her sisters, Dorothy Dale of Dakota City and Virginia (Sherman) Silbaugh of Humboldt. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Nanette.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Humboldt. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. www.masonlindhart.com
