Kim attended and graduated from Gulf High School in 1981 in New Port Richey Florida. In High school Kim was member of the National Honor Society receiving a full college scholarship to study Latin American Studies at Florida Atlantic University. Kim, instead married the love of her life, John Patrick Santilli on May 24, 1982. After their marriage, she worked for the telephone company in Clear Water, Florida and then the couple moved the Illinois/Wisconsin area where her husband served in the Navy as a Petty Class Officer. Kim’s greatest achievement and purpose in life was being a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandma (Mema) and sister, aunt, niece and cousin to her close-nit family.

Kim enjoyed sunrises and sunsets, fall colors, the first snowfall, her children’s smiles and watching the seasons yield fruit and flowers in her garden she loved so much,
sticking her toes in the sand on trips home to Florida and thrift store shopping hoping to find a rare cookie jar or piggy bank to add to her collection usually only to find little treasures to give her loved ones for no reason but love.

She is survived by her husband John “Pat” Santilli of Bode; Hope Santilli and Nicholas Santilli of Bode, her Grandson Robert Dean Santilli, by her parents Robert “Bud” and Beverly Douglas of Bode; her sisters Robin Douglas Kinnan of Humboldt and Lindsay Michele Douglas of Bode, her spouses daughter Patricia Lynn Santilli Thomas and her husband John Thomas and their children Marisa, Kyle and Mia of Florida and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Tami and Mark Couture of St. Cloud Florida, her nephews Robby Douglas of New Port Richey, Logan and Dustin Reinhardt of Indiana, Zachary Douglas of Washington, Jay Kinnan of Humboldt and her great nephew Jacobie Stoneking of Bode.
