Linda was born July 19, 1946, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Ted N. and Lillian E. Benjamin. She was raised on a farm in rural Bradgate and graduated from Gilmore City - Bradgate High School in 1964.

Linda is survived by her parents Ted and Lillian Benjamin; three children, Patricia (Scott) McPherson, Christine (Cory) Furlong, and Justin Palmer; sisters, Pamela (Vern) Nedved, Teresa (Dave) Dunn, and Marcia (Ken) Javor. She is also survived by her four granddaughters, Alexa and Morgan Noel, Samantha and Paige McPherson. She was loved dearly by her nieces and nephews. In addition, Linda is survived by her husband, John Kubly. She cherished her relationship with her step-children and step-grandchildren.

Quilting was Linda’s passion and she shared her talent with her many friends. Her involvement in Common Threads, Lake Area Quilters' Guild, Quilted Forest and Honey Bee Quilters allowed her to express and share her creativity. She retired from the U.S. Post Office in 2009 and moved from Britt to Humboldt. Linda enjoyed spending the winters in Florida, where she was active in Nimble Thimble Quilters and Hunters Run Red Hatters.  Watching men's and women's college basketball was something Linda enjoyed and she was always rooting for the Hawkeyes.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. Special thanks to the staff of Unity Point Hospice for their guidance, care and compassion.
