Marjorie O. Lenning, 90, of Humboldt, passed away January 16, 2013 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Interment will be in East Ullensvang Lutheran Cemetery, Thor. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.

Mrs. Lenning is survived by her daughters, Becky (Darrel) Schoeberlein of Hudson, WI, and Ann (Duane) Brincks of Algona; grandchildren, Stacy (Steve) Bartlett, Tate (Tera) Schoeberlein, Nicole Burlage, Nathan Taylor, Erik (Natalie) Brincks, and Aicia (Dan) Burns; great grandchildren, Kiley and Kadin Bartlett, Sydney Burlage, Kaitlyn, Jillian, and Jacob Burns, and Calvin and James Brincks; and her brother, Richard (Janice) Lund of Estherville. Her parents and her husband, Henry, preceded her in death.

Marjorie Olga Lund, the daughter of Peter S. and Anna (Johnson) Lund, was born November 22, 1922 at Thor Iowa. She graduated from Thor High School in 1940 and attended Waldorf College. Following her education, Marjorie was employed by Equitable Life Assurance Assoc. in Des Moines. She was united in marriage to Henry Lenning on December 12, 1942 and the couple made their home in Mineral Wells, Texas where Henry was stationed during the war. When he was sent overseas, Marjorie returned to Humboldt where she was employed at the Humboldt Trust and Savings Bank. Following the war, the couple made their home in Humboldt where Marjorie's most important occupation was that of being a loving wife and mother.

Marjorie was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church where she was a past member of the choir and was active in E.L.C.W. and Bible Study. She enjoyed family and friends, playing cards and board games, her bridge clubs, needlework, and baking. She was very proud of her Scandinavian heritage and loved watching the Iowa Hawkeye games. Marge was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed.
