Mary A. Grebe, 73 of Humboldt, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Mary was born on August 29, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Russell and Neltha (Roth) Wills. She was raised in Perryville, Missouri and graduated from Perryville High School and Southeast Missouri State College. She was united in marriage to Harold Grebe on June 25, 1966. The couple made their homes in Palmyra, Missouri, Carlinville, Illinois and later Humboldt. She was a seamstress in her home for 56 years. She enjoyed playing games of cribbage with family and friends, raising raspberries, and making wine. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and a Rotarian. She took great joy in volunteering and helping others.

She is survived by her daughters Carla Sue (Joe) Fedeler of Lynchburg, Virginia and Lynn Ann (Doug) Dodgen of Story City, her grandchildren Sam, Catherine, Spencer and Carson, her sister Lynn (Michael) Ramsey of Jacksonville, Florida and her brothers Russell (Sandy) Wills of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Larry (Nola) Wills of Conroe, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 48 years, Harold.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 3rd from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
