Patricia Ann Gray formerly of Humboldt passed away July 12, 2011 at the Marshalltown Medical Center. Funeral Services will be Friday July 15 at 2 PM in the chapel of the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt the Reverend Matthew Mansz officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the services. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements.
Patricia Ann Gray was born December 22, 1930 in Fort Dodge, Iowa and was raised and educated in Humboldt.  Following her graduation for Humboldt High School she married Dale Eugene Rasmussen in Renwick, Iowa. They formed a family that produced four children, Connie, Bill Jim, and John. Pat worked for many years as church secretary at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt.
Pat was an accomplished musician playing the piano, baritone horn, and singing, and was a drum majorette in high school. She was an animal lover, and at one tie had 16 Belgian and riding horses, over 30 cats, 3 dogs, geese, chickens, and doves. She enjoyed traveling throughout the USA, England, and Peru to visit her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed fine dining, (or any dining out), partying with friends and family, and live theatre.
During her lifetime she lived in Humboldt, Spencer, Marshalltown, Reinbeck, and Eldora, Iowa. She is survived by her children Constance (Rasmussen) Lynch and son-in-law Gregory Lynch of Lexington Park, MD; John Rasmussen and daughter-in-law Kris Rasmussen of Marshalltown, IA; grandchildren Brianna Rasmussen of Marshalltown, James Lynch of Lexington Park, MD, and Andrea (Lynch) Dias of St. Petersburg, FL.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie and William Weir of Humboldt IA, husbands Dale Rasmussen of Humboldt and Donald Gray of Spencer; children James and William Rasmussen of Humboldt, aunt Barb Bloyer of Beloit, WI, and uncle Max Knowles of Pocahontas.
Patricia Ann Weir was a loving wife, Mother, grandmother, and animal caretaker, and will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her.
