Richard R. Moline

Corporal Richard Raymond Moline, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 10, 2021.


Visitation will be at Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home, Humboldt, Thursday, February 18 from 6-8 p.m. with Celebration of Life on Friday, February 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Mason-Lindhart followed by burial at Union Cemetery in Humboldt.


Richard was born on August 28, 1933 in Webster County on his parents, Wallie and Fern (Early) Moline's farm. He graduated high school in Gilmore City. Richard completed military training at Fort Leonard Wood and was stationed in Japan. He served in the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.


After his service, he met and fell in love with Donna Powers, whom he married on August 19, 1956 in Gilmore City. They settled in Fort Dodge, later moving to Fremont, Nebraska, Kansas City, Missouri and Bozeman, Montana for the last several years. While in Fort Dodge, Richard worked at Hormel for over 30 years, retiring in Fremont. When not working, Richard had a passion for square dancing, ballroom dancing, fishing, hunting, and whatever was on his honey-do list as well as spending time with family and grandchildren. Richard was predeceased by his parents, and his sister Eileen (Harold) Guderian.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Powers Moline, daughters, Christina (Bernie) Rosch, Jewel Lea Grant, Susan Moline (Richard) Reyes, and Kelli Cross (Stephen) Boster, his sister, Patricia (Bob) Swanson, many grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, gifts be made to Shining Mountains Lutheran Church, 1710 Vaquero Pkwy, Bozeman, MT 59718. Richard served this church with dedication and passion. www.masonlindhart.com
