Richard Wilson

October 29, 1942 - November 7, 2020

Richard O. Wilson, 78, of Eagle Grove passed away on November 8, 2020 at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. Richard was born on October 29, 1942 in California, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Schuster) Wilson. He grew up on a farm south of Humboldt, moved to a group home in the late 1970s and later moved to Eagle Grove where he remained. Richard loved coffee at Ampride, music, enjoyed people’s company and a good soda. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and anything John Deere. Richard was described as someone who was easy to talk to and he will be sorely missed. He is survived by half-siblings John (Linda) Jacobsen of Perry, Joe (Theresa) Jacobsen of Rippey and Donna Mogge of Dekalb, Florida, sister-in-law Gwen Jacobsen of Silver Bay, Minnesota, several nieces and nephews and cousin Diana Fennell. He is preceded in death by his parents and half-brother Tracy Jacobsen. Funeral services for Richard will be held at a later date.
