Sayla Marie Reyna

Sayla Marie Reyna, 7 weeks of age, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, November 11, 2018.

She was born September 22, 2018 in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Khayman M. Reyna and Jennifer K. Steele. Sayla Marie, Lord knows we could spell out every single second of delight that you filled our lives with those 50 glorious days. But here now we thank you for all of those huge smiles, those sweet little grunts and coos and that powerful cry. Thank you for all of those squirms, kicks and punches; thank you for making us laughs. Your sweet little monkey toes and fingers, those unique little ear folds all contribute to just how truly special you are. We'll miss your burps, squeezing those big hams, the way you ate your food and even those dirty diapers. You are so strong physically and mentally, you fought so hard to keep this beautiful life you had here with us. You really showed us what you could do and we're so grateful. The day will come where you'll tell us exactly how you lived out your life in that wonderful place; everything you enjoyed, your hobbies, your career of choice, your favorite color, your favorite book and movie and what it took for you to learn your letters and numbers; the feelings you got when you took your first steps and how many traits of both of us you ended up with. You are so perfect in every sense of the word. Your spirit will live on and we'll feel you with us every one of our days until we're all together again, until we meet again sweet Froggie. You are our precious Angel and you make the perfect guardian Angel for you sister. Bless you for completing our family of 4. You had much bigger plans in store and we're anticipating the chance to see exactly what the lord has in store for you. Until we meet again sweet Angel; Sister, Mommy and Daddy love you unconditionally and miss you everyday.

Sayla is survived by her parents and her big sister, Alba Steele all of Humboldt, her grandparents, Kevin Steele of Humboldt, Stephanie Portwine of Ames and Mike Reyna III (Rebecca Reyna) of Dows, Iowa, her aunts and uncles, Alicia Steele (Jamie Erickson), Zachary Steele, Lindsay Steele (Danny Michael Wendell), Kristen Fraser Genrich (Charles David Stanley), Daniel (Amanda) Fraser, Shandra Reyna (John Flowers), Cassandra Reyna, Amber (Jeremy) Hendren, Joey & Jeremy and JaVonna, and many, many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jackie Reyna.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. followed by prayers at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Burial will be in Dows Cemetery, Dows, Iowa at a later date. www.masonlindhart.com
