William H. Pannell Jr.

William Harold Pannell, Jr., 92, of Bristol, Virginia., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born November 29, 1929 in Goldfield, Iowa, son of the late William Harold, Sr. and Edith Chambers Pannell. Mr. Pannell was a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from McDonald Douglas. He was an aeronautical engineer where he worked on the F15 Project. He had resided in the Bristol area since 2000 and was a member of Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Barker Pannell; and sisters, Alice Halverson and Rachel Peterson.
Survivors include his son, Richard Pannell and wife Lynn; grandchildren, William Pannell and wife Hannah, and Michaela Pannell; great grandchildren, Graham Andrew Pannell and Everly Grace Pannell.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9th at Union Cemetery in Humboldt. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements. www.masonlindhart.com
