Audrey M. Kramer

Audrey Marlene Kramer was born on June 22, 1938, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Arno and Marium (Friesth) Schulze.  She was raised and educated in Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School in 1957.

       Audrey married Dale Kramer on June 1, 1957, at the Beaver Township Church and they had four children: Tammy, Tonya, David and Duane.  The couple later divorced. 

      Audrey worked at Val’s Café, Farm Egg, Humboldt County Ag Society Bingo, Clayton’s Variety, Humboldt Sausage, and owned/operated “Closets” ~ Yours & Mine for many years, retiring in 2010.

       Audrey was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a former member of the Badger Saddle Club “Cook Shack”.  She enjoyed her family, bowling, casinos, and dogs. 

      Audrey passed away, surrounded by her family, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the age of 85 years.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and beloved dogs.

       Survivors include her children: Tammy Vinsand (Gary) of Gilmore City, Tonya Johnson of Humboldt, David Kramer (Darlene) of Gilmore City and Duane Kramer (Lisa) of Wallcott; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren (with #14 due in March); brother, Garold Schulze (Susan) of Humboldt and sister, Sharon Schulze of Dakota City.

        Private family graveside services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, at Indian Mound Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Raether officiating.

      Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
