Clyde A. Braby

Clyde A. Braby, 91, of Humboldt, passed away on Wednesday July 22, 2026 in the Long-Term Care Unit of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.

Clyde was born April 12, 1935 in Rutland Iowa, (something he was very proud of) the son of Lloyd and Ruth (Biesell) Braby. He graduated from Rutland school in 1952. He served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Alaska. He was united in marriage to Mary Molitor on October 15, 1960. The couple made their home in Granger, Iowa and Clyde worked as an IT tech for Continental Western Insurance for 44 years. The couple moved back to Humboldt area following retirement. Clyde was very knowledgeable of the history of Rutland and enjoyed discussing it with anyone.

Clyde was proceeded in death by numerous family members including his wife Mary in 2007. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Jenean and Mel Smith of Dakota City and Larry and Jean Braby of Pocahontas.

Family burial will take place at St. Mary Cemeterey at a later date. The Mason Lindhart Funeral and Cremation Service of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements.    www.masonlindhart.com
