Diana L. Goodell

Diana joined our Lord and Savior on February 22, 2024 surrounded by her family and loving husband. Diana was born February 27, 1951 to John J. Brazier and Nadine C. Brazier. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1969. Diana worked many jobs starting at the Holmes Cafe, Hy-Vee, Cedar Room, Pine Lake Christian Camp and Eldora High School.  She met her husband Michael M. Goodell and they were united in marriage on May 18, 1974. They then started their family and moved to the family farm raising five rambunctious children: twins Aaron & Adam, Luke, Seth, and Naomi. Cooking was Diana’s passion. She also enjoyed baking, singing, acting, scrapbooking, reading, camping, fishing, crafting, and gardening. Diana had a calling to serve the Lord and was active in church and youth groups. She also volunteered her time as a Scouts leader, at the local food pantries, as a camp counselor at PLCC, and as the HS cheer coach.

 

Diana is survived by her husband, Michael, of 49 years, sons Aaron (Debra), Adam (Angela), Luke, Seth (Kelly), daughter Naomi Strode (Patrick), sister Nancy Arne (Tom), sisters-in-law Dixie Goodell (John) and Holly Sailing (Richard), 27 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, 3 stepsisters, and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Dorcas Brazier, sister and brother-in-law Sally and Mike Bradley, infant sister Sandra Brazier, stepsister Marilyn Schutt, infant granddaughter Lily Goodell, infant great granddaughter Brynlee Goodell and nephew Chad Palek.

 

Visitation and service will be at Northfield Church of Christ in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Visitation starting at 1:00 pm, Celebration of Life starting at 2:00 and Fellowship to follow. Graveside service will be for family only on Thursday, March 7th, 2024, at Union Cemetery in Humboldt.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations will be accepted and given to the Food Bank of Iowa in Diana’s name.    www.masonlindhart.com
