In 1991, he accepted the position of Account Manager for Humboldt Red Power and the family moved first to Dakota City and then to Humboldt.
Doug loved spending time with his grandsons and the three would often play “red tractors”. He enjoyed caring for his dog, Abby, who he loved to take for walks and who became his “third princess” after his daughters were grown. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and following the Iowa Hawkeyes.
