Esther "Jane" Thompson

Esther “Jane” Thompson, 89, of Humboldt passed away on January 13, 2020 at the Humboldt South Care Center.

She was born on October 22, 1930 to Harry and Gladys Randall in Dallas Center, Iowa. Jane grew up and graduated high school from Dallas Center. She later went to attend and graduate from Grand View Jr. College. After college, Jane worked at the law office in Dallas Center and eventually met Robert Thompson. The two were married on July 16, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The two had made their home on Bob’s family farm in Rolfe, Iowa. Jane later moved to Humboldt in 2003 after Bob’s passing.

She is survived by her son Don (Jill) Hubbell of Mallard, close family friends Mark (Jennifer) Ellerman of Dallas Center, Bill (Judy) Ellerman of Dallas Center, Dick (Jane) Johnston of Creston and Leo (Linda) Grebner of Humboldt, along with many of her friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bob and her parents.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home. A burial will be held at a later date.
