Jeannie C. Hall, 88, of Humboldt, passed away March 5, 2015 at the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt with the Rev. Charles Luers officiating. Interment will be in Otho Cemetery, Otho. Visitation is from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband, H. Milo “Mike” Hall; sons, Michael (Susan) Hall of Cedar Falls, Jay Hall of Lake Park, and Matthew (Darlene) Hall of Spirit Lake; and grandchildren, Nathan, Emily, Kiesha, William, Fred, Makayla, and Melissa.
Imogene Collinson, the daughter of Lloyd and Mae (VanLoan) Collinson, was born May 10, 1926 at Waterloo, Iowa. As a child, she moved with her family to the Clear Lake area. She received her education at Clear Lake and graduated from Clear Lake High School. Following her education, Jeannie worked in the Clear Lake area while waiting for her future husband to return from service in World War II. She was united in marriage to Hernando Milo Hall on May 25, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Clear Lake. The couple made their first home in Ventura where Mike began his teaching career and Jeannie worked as a bookkeeper. The family then moved to Britt before settling in Humboldt for many years. In May of 2012, the Halls became residents of the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake.
Jeannie was a long time active member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt where she served on various committees and was active in Sunday School. She was also a member of BV Chapter of PEO.
