Larry B. Rice

Larry B. Rice, 63, formerly of Eagle Grove & Humboldt, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 5, 2024, at the Jackson Ridge Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.

Larry was born November 19, 1960 in Fort Dodge, the son of Gail B. and Dorothy M. (Sroufe) Rice.  He was raised and educated in Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School.  Larry worked in maintenance for twenty-two years at Land O’Lakes and then began a trucking career, driving for Goodell Trucking, later Gold Eagle Cooperative and then for himself.  He was independent, self-sufficient, was a hobby farmer, raised cattle and enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. 

Larry is survived by his children; Nicholas Rice of Algona, Kayla Williams of Farmington, New Mexico and Nathan (Alyssa) Rice of Humboldt, his grandchildren; Tyson, Mara Jo, Reed, Tyrus, Trenton, Jentri, Jori and Jettsyn and his sister Jackie Fevold of Humboldt.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Terry.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11^th at Oak Hill Church in Humboldt.  Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church.  Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Humboldt.   www.masonlindhart.com
