Michelle Lynn Hackett

Michelle Hackett, 57, of Duncombe, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.

Michelle Lynn (Reetz) Hackett was born on November 17, 1968 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Warren and Mary K. (Schwint) Reetz. She grew up in Dakota City and was educated in Humboldt, and worked as a cashier at various convenience stores.

Michelle was united in marriage with Jerry “J.D.” Hackett on February 3, 1987 in Humboldt.

Michelle enjoyed cooking, baking, spending time with family, bonfires, grilling and outdoor activities.

She is survived by her husband, J.D. Hackett of Duncombe; son, Zachary Hackett of Duncombe; two grandchildren, Kiana and Dominic Reetz; niece, Andrea Lowe; nephews, Michael Lowe and Jimmy Dodrill and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Matt Reetz and two sisters, Peggy Lowe and Wanda Dodrill.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13th at Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home &Cremation Service in Humboldt, with Visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
