Norma D. Olson, 93, of Humboldt, passed away on Sunday morning, November 27, 2022, at Bickford Cottage in Fort Dodge.
She was born November 23, 1929, in Humboldt, the daughter of Holly B. and Merle D. (Smith) Sanford. She was raised and educated in the Humboldt area and on April 8, 1950, was united in marriage to Howard D. Olson. The couple made their home in Humboldt until moving to a farm in Corinth Township where they farmed for twenty-nine years. She was an active member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, enjoyed reading and playing cards. She and Howard loved going to dances and wintering in Hawaii. Norma was a fun gal and will be greatly missed.
Norma is survived by her niece Geraldine (Kenneth) Stripling of Bullhead City, Arizona, nephew Randy (Shirley) Gregory of Mazeppa, Minnesota and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, son Mark, brothers Jack and Bob and her sister Mento Tjarks.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd at Union Cemetery in Humboldt. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service of Humboldt is in charge of the arrangements.
