Peggy is survived by her husband, Greg Danielson of Humboldt; her son Tim (Amy) Danielson of Postville; Grandson, Gabriel Danielson; and brother, Glenn Scarborough of Humboldt. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna (Schwandt) Scarborough; her infant daughter, Heather and infant son, James; and sister, Cathy Calhoun.
Peggy Ann Scarborough, the daughter of John and Edna (Schwandt) Scarborough, was born August 7, 1949 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was raised and educated at Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1967 where she was a member of National Honor Society. She then attended college in Fort Dodge where she received her associate’s degree. While in school, Peggy was active in Parish Mission Builders, serving in the country’s inner cities. It was while serving as a professional secretary for Billy Graham that she met Greg Danielson. The couple was united in marriage on July 7, 1973 at the First Covenant Church in Fort Dodge. The couple made their home in Humboldt and Peggy worked for the Fort Dodge Chamber of Commerce. Greg’s deployment with the United States Navy took the couple all over the world for many years until his retirement. In 1993 they returned to Humboldt.
Peggy was a faithful member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church and was active in the Christian Women’s Group. Her well-worn bible illustrated her love for reading and witnessing for her church and her faith. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
