Randall D. Gieber, 64 of Humboldt, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 21, 2020.
He was born August 18, 1956 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of LaVerne and Mary Jane (Phillips) Gieber. He moved with his family at an early age to California where he was raised and educated. He then joined and served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Suzanne Frey in 1978 and the couple made their home in Davis, California where Randy worked as an automotive technician for Ford dealerships. In December of 2010 he moved to Humboldt. He was a very handy man, could fix anything, loved working on cars and boats. He enjoyed bowling and earlier in life loved playing softball.
He is survived by his children, Christopher (Tammi) Gieber of Humboldt, Gina (Gus) Gonzalez of Olivehurst, California and Craig Gieber of Sacramento, his grandchildren, Kayla Gieber, Lauren Gonzalez and Jake Gonzalez and his former wife, Suzanne Morrissey of Sacramento. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father Gene Henderson and an infant brother Doug.
