Sharon L. Robinson, 83, of Humboldt, passed away on Friday morning, June 20, 2025 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.
Sharon was born on October 14, 1941 in Humboldt, the daughter of Leroy and Marian (Lighter) Petersen. She was raised and educated in Humboldt and on April 16, 1960 was united in marriage to Lanny L. Robinson. The couple made their home in Humboldt and Sharon could be found bleacher bound supporting her children’s athletic endeavors. Sharon was a woman of faith, family, and friends. These were the most important aspects of her life. She was a quiet woman who supported others and built them up quietly in her Christian calling. She was involved in her church activities, church circles, bible studies, Christian Women’s Club and Understanding Sisters, an organization that supports others through the loss of loved ones. She also spent many hours with her various card clubs enjoying the time with her friends.
Sharon is survived by her children; Dennis Robinson of Humboldt, Sherri Hotze of Ankeny and Dana (Eladia) Robinson of Tampa, Florida, her grandchildren; Avriella, Matayah and Brock Austin, Lindsay (Mason) Troendle, Tanner (Brittanii) Hotze, and Joshua Robinson, great-grandchildren; Henley, McCoy and Warner Troendle. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lanny and sister Pat Jensen.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24th at Victory Church, located on the grounds of the Humboldt County Historical Museum in Dakota City. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at church. Burial will be private family only at Indian Mound Cemetery.
