Verda Trauger

Verda Trauger, 90, of Livermore, passed away April 13, 2015 at Edgewater in West Des Moines. Private family funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Livermore.
Mrs. Trauger is survived by her children, Ronald (Marlys) Trauger of Livermore, Paul (Michele) Trauger of Cumming, Kathryn (Kevin) Oppedahl of Norwalk, and Larry (Jane) Trauger of Livermore; 11 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; three sisters; 4 sisters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Trauger.

Verda Sanford, the daughter of William Franklin and Jessie Arvilla (Satter) Sanford, was born December 2, 1924 at LuVerne, Iowa. She was raised and educated at LuVerne. On February 1, 1945, she was united in marriage to James Trauger at Mason City, Iowa. The couple farmed together east of Livermore for 63 years. Mr. Trauger passed away on December 31, 2008.
Mrs. Trauger took great pride in her beautiful garden and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
