Westley E. Gleason, 73 of Rolfe, formerly of Humboldt, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Rolfe on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Westley was born July 22, 1952 in Corning, New York, the son of Wesley L. and Ellen E. (Cavanaugh) Gleason. His parents died at an early age and he was raised by his grandparents. Following graduation from high school he enlisted in the United States Army. He then made his home in Iowa. He was united in marriage to Georgia Bomberry in February of 1990. They made their home in Thor, then Humboldt and following Georgia’s passing, Westley moved to Rolfe in 2012.
Westley started his working career in early years at Happy Chef in Fort Dodge, later, Chantland Manufacturing, the Fort Correctional Facility, North and South Care Centers in Humboldt and owned Wes’s Place in Rolfe until retiring in 2017. In retirement he worked as a groundskeeper at the Rolfe Golf Course. He enjoyed fishing, golf and playing cribbage.
He is survived by his daughter Sarah Gleason of Rolfe and his sister Angela Tronson of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Georgia.
